Capture

A few girls captured by the waves.

The waves in Lake Michigan were incredible last week. We spent most of thurseday body surfing and playing in them. It was also my first experiance with rip tide. The water wasn't very deep so I could stand but the current was so strong it pulled me along anyway. I wasn't scary because I could just walk out of it but I can see how in deeper water or if I were a small child how it could be quite dangerous.

Always love you illustration! I like how you drew the red bikini top floating away. It's like the catch of the entire illustration :)

Nice. I like the fact that they aren't necessarily reacting to the actual wave. The colors are great too.

I'm always scared part of my bathing suit will not be on my body when a big wave gets me. Once I realize I haven't drowned, only been tossed around a bit, it's the first thing I check. A beach full of people looking right at you can be intimidating. Wonderful painting!

This is great! I can almost feel the sensation of being tumbled around in the waves....and I have had the embarrassing experience of emerging from the water without my top...and not realizing it until it was a bit too late. oops!
